The Service Unit for Elderly, within the Management of Women’s and Family Services of Ümraniye Municipality continues its services to help the elders living in hard conditions inside the borders of Ümraniye and to increase their life quality.
Having started to the journey in order to help and increase the life quality of the elders who live in Ümraniye in difficult life conditions, The Service Unit for Elderly, within the Management of Women’s and Family Services of Ümraniye Municipality continues to stand out with its social and cultural activities as well as its personal care and house cleaning services. Within these activities, there are tours, picnics, moral motivation and religious conversation programs. Via indicating that they were happy that the Service Unit for Elderly visited them and satisfied from the services, the elders thanked Ümraniye Mayor Hasan Can for his contribution to the realization of these services.
PERSONAL CARE AND CLEANİNG SERVİCES AT HOME
Chosen carefully and having experience in patient care as well as the education of service unit for elders and graduated from these departments, the teams of the Management of Women’s and Family Services provide the necessary care and make the health controls of the elders. Moreover, the representatives from the service unit for elders give seminars about the usage of drugs and chronic diseases to the elders. As well as making the personal care services such as hair and beard cut and clipping the nails of the elders who cannot do them because of their illnesses, their house choirs and arrangements are also made.
The examines of the elders who cannot get out of the bed because of their illnesses are made by voluntary doctors in their homes and the pursuit of their illnesses is made. The elder who are examined have their health controls done without going to a hospital.
Ümraniye Municipality continues to enable the elders to have good memories in their lives via increasing their mood and motivation with tours, picnics and programs organized as a social and cultural activity.
