The Ümraniye Municipality brought together thousands of citizens at its giant iftar organized in its Hekimbaşı and İnkılap Neighbourhoods. Indicating that they will be bringing together 200 thousand people with their iftar organizations throughout the month of Ramadan, “We experience the pleasure having iftars with our community,” said Mayor of the Ümraniye Municipality, Hasan Can.
Due to the month of Ramadan the Municipality of Ümraniye continues to bring together its citizens at its daily iftars. Experiencing the spiritual joy of breaking fast together with four thousand people with the iftars organized in its Hekimbaşı and İnkılap Neighbourhoods. Ümraniye Municipality Mayor Hasan Can, the AK Party’s Ümraniye District Head Enver Sedat Çakıroğlu, Esq., Vice Mayor Mesut Özdemir, municipal unit managers, AK Party Neighbourhood Heads, NGO representatives, councilmen, neighborhood chiefs, and thousands of citizens attended the meal offered on Fevzi Paşa Street. Coming together with residents, Ümraniye Municipality Mayor Hasan Can greeted citizens and took loving photographs with children.
İnkılap Neighbourhoods Head Yusuf Aydın, explained the strengthening of solidarity and sharing that comes with the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan and ended his talk by touching upon the importance of these neighbourhood-oriented iftars given by the Municipality of Ümraniye.
In his speech, the AK Party’s Ümraniye District Head Enver Sedat Çakıroğlu, Esq., said, “Municipality of Ümraniye continue to meet with its citizens through its nightly street iftars as well as the iftars given for countrymen associations at its Wedding Hall. On this occasion, I would like to thank all of the residents of this neighbourhood who have filled this street and are sharing their table with us.”
MAYOR HASAN CAN: “THE MONTH OF RAMADAN IS A DIFFERENT TYPE OF BEAUTIFUL”
When the adhan was recited during Ümraniye Municipality Mayor Hasan Can’s talk with citizens, he led the meal prayer himself. After joining Mayor Hasan Can’s prayer, residents broke their fasts. Underlining that they will be bringing together approximately 200 thousand people through iftar organizations during the month of Ramadan, Mayor Hasan Can said, “Street iftars are our classic. We construct five-star restaurants in the streets. We experience the pleasure of having iftars together with our community and neighbourhoods. In addition we have rented 5 separate wedding salons. Throughout the month of Ramadan, approximately 150 thousand people have their ifrat in these wedding salons. There are roughly 40 to 50 thousand residents in our street iftars. Furthermore, we are delighted to give iftars in the garden of our Wedding Hall to countrymen associations.” Indicating that the month of Ramadan is one of beauty, “May God not decrease this beauty, happiness and affection, I wish you all a blessed Ramadan,” said Mayor Hasan Can.
